Hot & Sour Cabbage

INGREDIENTS

  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 5 slices fresh ginger
  • 5 pcs Sichuan peppercorn
  • ¼ tablespoon sugar
  • 2 tablespoons light soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons black rice vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons corn oil or canola oil
  • 3 pcs dry red chili cut into small pieces
  • Half pound of cabbage, tear into small pieces by hand

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Heat up a wok add oil into it, keep the medium low heat,
  2. Add in the dry red chili, stir it until you can smell the spicy,
  3. Add in the Sichuan peppercorn, garlic, and ginger slices, turn on the high heat, and quick stir for 10 seconds,
  4. Add the cabbage in and keep stir until they are tender,
  5. Add in black rice vinegar keep cook for one minute,
  6. Add in the light soy sauce and sugar (salt to taste if needed), keep stir for another one minute,
  7. Dish out and serve it warm with steamed rice.
